BBox Audio Player

If you want to listen to music, you just need a media player. If you need to organize, convert or perform other actions on your audio tracks, you need different applications. BBox Audio Player combines the functionality of media converters, taggers, rippers and others, into a single application. In other words, you can use this software for mostly anything, from simply playing your music to ripping audio CDs.

BBox Audio Player is freeware and it doesn't take long to install it. Besides the application's files, you can also install a few encoder files, additional visualizations and copy a series of default radio stations and word lists. In addition, the setup wizard allows you to associate the software with various file types.

At a first glance over the user interface, you will notice that BBox Audio Player is quite different from traditional audio players. Instead of displaying a playlist, equalizer and playback controls on separate windows, the software provides a modern interface, with ribbon menus and tabs for different features. Besides the volume and position controls, you can find the tracks queue next to the playlist. This makes it possible to add your favorite songs to the queue, just by clicking and dragging them from one area to another.

The available options, located on the ribbon menus, allow you to filter your files, by typing a keyword or by selecting a specific artist or album. Additionally, you may configure a cross fade effect, retrieve online information for the selected files, edit tags and more. A smart volume function can be activated with a single click. If enabled, the software will make all tracks sound equally loud, so you will not have to change the volume yourself.

Files can be ripped and converted on a separate window. Once you target one or more files, you can set the converter to change their bitrate, select a different channel mode and make other adjustments. Besides audio files, you can also play audio CDs, online radio stations and visualizations, on separate tabs.
